"The Paediatric Department is responsible for the care of children aged 0-16.  It is currently taken care of by our local paediatrician Dr Dawn Pasina with the assistance of Dr Voi Solomone.

Services include neonatalogy, general and specialist paediatric clinics encompassing postnatal and well child checks,  neurology, cardiology, respiratory, endocrine, metabolic and developmental services in we have a very good support system with our Starship and Middlemore Hospital counterparts in New Zealand.

Maternity ward can cater for 10 newborn babies and our High Dependency Unit has 3 incubators.  Inpatients have access to a 10 bed ward which is manned by nurses with training and experience in paediatrics.

At present we have annual health specialist visits for paediatric neurology, cardiology and general medicine and any children that need further care are transferred to New Zealand as necessary.
