We are 25 days into the second 30 days of Operation Namu26. Since the last update on Friday 27 March 2026, no new cases were reported for that day and Saturday 28 March. From Sunday 29 March to Wednesday 1 April 2026, only five cases were reported for Rarotonga. For the last 12 days, the only cases reported were for Rarotonga only and no cases reported for any of the Pa Enua. As of 1st April 2026, 15 active cases remain all on Rarotonga.
Peri-focal spraying and larvae surveillance continues including slashing of overgrown lands and clearance of drainage and streams on Rarotonga continues. The Tutaka Program is set for the 13 – 24 April 2026.
