Design, Build & Fit‑Out of Four Sea Ambulances
The Cook Islands Government, through the Ministry of Health, hereafter referred to as Te Marae Ora (TMO) invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from suitably qualified and experienced parties for the design, construction, and supply of four (4) sea ambulances. These vessels are intended to support medical evacuation, emergency response and search and rescue (SAR) operations for the four (4) islands of Penrhyn, Rakahanga, Pukapuka and Manihiki. All four islands are part of the Northern Group islands of the Cook Islands.
Scope of services
Suppliers are expected to propose solutions that may include:
- Design, construction and supply of sea ambulance vessels
- Integration of medical transport capability (e.g stretcher systems, stabilization support)
- Provision of navigation, communication and safety equipment
- Crew Training (marine and basic medical handling as required)
- Maintenance and lifecycle support plans
- Supply of supporting equipment, which may include trailers, protective covers and rescue equipment
