On Sunday 8 March 2026, Operation Namu26 continued for the second 30 days of implementation to Phase 2 and Phase 3 of the Plan:
Phase 2: Ongoing planned spraying and larvae investigations up to a period of two months.
Phase 3: Ongoing household cleaning of land to be followed by a Tutaka program.
This week completes all block spraying and TMO have agreed to scale down the spraying program from next week focusing on peri-focal spraying and larvae investigations.
The new 30 Days Dengue Trend epi curve below indicated no positive case on Sunday 8 March, two cases (1 on Rarotonga and 1 on Aitutaki) recorded for Monday 9 March, two cases on Tuesday 10 March for Rarotonga and none recorded on Wednesday 11 March.
No recorded case for Atiu for the last four weeks and no recorded case for Mauke for the last 10 days, with one case for Mangaia recorded on Friday 6 March.
The Tutaka Program is set for the 13 – 24 April 2026.
